Jeffery holds an Associates Degree in Architectural Design from Clinton Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from the University of Northern Iowa and has attended Graduate coursework in Master’s of Business Administration from Georgia State University. As our family began to grow and our space seemed to shrink, my wife and I decided it was time to buy our first home. After a grueling search (you know what I mean if you live in central Texas right now), we were not able to settle on a home we liked. Even when we did find something we liked, it would be off the market before we got a chance to go see it in person. Since the home search did not seem to show any resolve, it was an easy decision to go ahead and make our first home purchase our first home build. We immediately turned to Jeff Clark. We had received rave reviews from friends of ours that worked with him, and coincidentally, I had worked in a building that he built. I was already well aware of his quality standards and the lasting nature of his builds.

As we embarked on this journey, Jeff was there every step of the way. He helped us find the perfect lot and guided us through the offer process on the property. It seemed like every time I was going to ask a question, Jeff answered it before I could ask. We had heard several stories about how difficult the financing process can be when buying or building a home. Again, Jeff handled all of that. All we really had to do was sign a few documents and smile. At least that’s what it felt like.

Several people we know that had built homes before gave us a list of things we would have to be on top of to make sure our builder got them done properly. This was not the case with Jeff and contractor he used to work on our first home. We noticed that every contractor that worked on our home rose to the standard that Jeff required of himself. Every time we visited the site it was clean, and it seemed like Jeff was either there working with contractors personally or had just been there giving instructions. What builder gives that type of personal attention? If something was not right, Jeff made sure it was fixed immediately. My wife did most of the design, and Jeff saw to it that every detail she asked for was included. He communicated every plan and penny thoroughly and left nothing unclear. I cannot say how many times people have asked who built our home because of the visible quality they see when they visit. The sight of our home has even encouraged some to reach out to Clark Custom Homes themselves.

We moved our growing family into this beautiful home, and it all just seemed to fit. Just about every time I pull into my driveway I feel like I am living a dream. Inside and out this home was built to accommodate our family. We could not be happier with the end result. Jeff has even followed up several times after the sale to check up on us and the home. My wife and I have purchased and built several homes together over the years through various home builders. We were involved in the elevation and color selection, brick, tile, etc. and were there for every step of the construction for those homes to help ensure the builders didn’t miss our “special” features. This time we were looking for what we believe to be our last home and so we have learned what to look for, know what we like, and decided that we just wanted to find something already built.

This is where Jeff Clark, owner of Clark Custom Homes comes in. The house he built was rock solid throughout, color and flooring selections were great … all good things, but you can always change those to taste. What you buy and are stuck with is – building quality. Is it well insulated? Are the cabinets hanging correctly and solidly? Was all the flooring installed correctly (e.g., loose boards)? Is the A/C sized right for the house? I have to say that Clark Custom Homes has excelled in all these areas. Everything about the home is very solid and well-built. Also, the way he had the house insulated has been terrific, we have not had lower electricity bills in many years.

There is always the question of service after the sale in any large purchase and with a house, there is always going to be something that is missed that needs to be addressed. We have never had a house with fewer things needing to be addressed than this house, that in itself we found remarkable. The few things that were needed were taken care of in a timely manner, professionally, and usually by Jeff himself.

In this house, we found that everything is simply done right and that Jeff’s personal attention to detail during the building and after the sale make this one of the best decisions we have ever made. If you ask me for a recommendation for a home builder, my first response will be, Clark Custom Homes! We could not be happier with our decision to do business with Jeff on both a personal and professional level.
